The 2025 Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival will explore maritime heritage and pop culture with the theme Stories from the Sea: Wooden Boats in Film and Fiction.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view over 30 wooden vessels, including historic and cinematic icons.
Featured attractions include the Western Flyer, the vessel used by Ed Ricketts and John Steinbeck during their 1940 Sea of Cortez expedition. On land, guests will enjoy music, art displays of wooden boats from guest speakers, notable films, and an exhibition dedicated to The Boys in the Boat.
A Hollywood-themed Friday Night Premiere will kick off the weekend with a red carpet reception, gourmet cuisine, live entertainment, and an auction featuring exclusive experiences.
Tickets are priced at $125 for the Friday premiere on June 13th. Admission for the Saturday Festival on June 14th is $35 for adults and $10 for children, with free entry for kids aged five and under. An additional $45 ticket is required for the Wild Goose cruise.
Banner printing may be used by organizers to enhance the boat displays at events such as this one.
The event will occur at Balboa Yacht Club, 1801 Bayside Dr, Corona del Mar, California, from Friday, June 13th from 6 pm to 10 pm to Saturday, June 14th from 10 am to 6 pm. Shuttle service and complimentary parking will be available at 1600 Newport Center Dr, Newport Beach, California, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
