Newport Beach goes for spirited run
This March the 41st Annual Spirit Run returns to Newport Beach.
The event boasts nine competitive races, including the adult 5k and dog mile. There will also be an elite mile race which features top-tier runners who meet qualifying standards. Younger participants can compete in age-specific events, such as a quarter-mile run for 4-year-olds or a full mile for teenagers. Families can also participate in non-competitive options like the Family Mile or the 5k Walk.
Racers will be rewarded with "Spirit" medals, and St. Patrick's inspired prizes. Participants can also join a costume contest featuring multiple divisions and prizes. Early registrants may receive themed accessories, such as decorative glasses or headpieces.
Beyond the races, the Youth and Fitness Expo offers entertainment, including live music, food and drink, wellness activities, shopping, and even adoptable pets. The event's proceeds will benefit regional schools, youth athletics, and other charitable causes.
