A new restaurant has opened in Newport Beach, taking over the premises of a recently-closed Joe's Crabshack, and serving high-end Mexican food.
GuacAmigos is the brainchild of three brothers who are experienced restaurateurs, who worked with Tony Hawk, the skateboarding star, to develop the project.
The restaurant is offering both unusual dishes and familiar favorites, but promises all are made with high-quality ingredients. Some of the more unusual choices include caviar tacos, and guacamole made at table side, as well as fried avocado, and ‘taco decks’, including tacos made with lobster, and others with ahi tuna.
Diners will find old favorites such as burritos and fajitas on the menu, but made with unusual ingredients. These include extremely tender wagyu beef—the cows actually get massages—and king crab. They also serve halibut mole – unusual since moles are usually made with chicken.
Salads are also on the menu. There is a Southwest Avocado Chicken Salad that has organic chicken freshly grilled and then served on romaine lettuce with diced avocado, grape tomatoes, black beans, and kernels of grilled corn, with cilantro and crispy tortilla strips. Avocado dressing is served on the side.
There is also a taco salad that can be ordered with blackened shrimp, shredded chicken, or wagyu skirt steak.
The restaurant has a view of the water from its location on Pacific Coast Highway. New enterprise like this can distribute Promotional Products to help spread brand awareness.
