The 63rd anniversary was recently celebrated at Disneyland and those from nearby Newport Beach will not have wanted to miss the special excitement and magic in the park.
Guest who came to the park were able to hear a recording of a speech given by Walt Disney on the day the park opened. It transformed the amusement industry and a spokesperson for the park said it began a new model for entertainment for the family, where there is a theme and characters, shows, and rides are part of the total environment which tells a story.
Disney’s promise at the time was that the park would never be complete as long as people could imagine new adventures. Consequently, there has been a recent expansion of Pixar Pier to coincide with the opening of “Incredibles 2”.
The Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and Inside Out themed family attractions are planned for opening next year. Various promotional materials can be used to promote openings like these for parks and stores, such as Flyers in the local community.
As part of the celebrations, guests to Pixar Pier can enjoy Pixar Fest, with activities that include the Pixar Shorts Film Festival, Pixar Pals Dance Party, and a nightly firework show. There will also be special themed merchandise and themed eats and treats. Pixar Fest runs through September 3.
