This January, three Morgan Hills high schools will be offering students the chance to build their interview and other skills, and is seeking volunteers to lend a hand.
The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce will be running its “Rock the Mock” program, and it is counting on the support of the local business community. Those who register to volunteer will be either helping out with the logistics of the activity or taking on the role of mock interviews.
Those who sign up for the day are asked to indicate whether they would like to be an interviewer, lend a hand with logistics or be put to use wherever they are most needed. They will be provided with an orientation session before they begin. The interviewers will work with small groups of high school students, offering feedback and support, while other volunteers will help out with registration, timekeeping and overall organization. Lunch will be served.
A chamber of Commerce serves its community in a variety of ways, and they often offer training, volunteer and other opportunities. Stationery printers can design certificates to present to members who lend a hand with special events to thank them for their assistance.
This opportunity for Morgan Hill to help high school students polish their interview skills will be on offer on January 21st. It's been scheduled for Central High School.
