The city-sponsored Splash 2 Dash Youth Triathlon offers is open to all children from ages 5 to 13 next month.
The City of Morgan Hill wants all its residents to stay fit and active throughout life, and to help, is offering this competition to encourage local children to stay moving and discover the love of friendly competition. The Splash 2 Dash triathlon is planned as a fun and exhilarating opportunity for children that can help them to experience the thrill of accomplishment. The four age categories divide the children into groups that offer a fair atmosphere for younger runners.
The registration fee includes a finisher medal for every participant, as well as a T-shirt and a goody bag. The fee is $30 for preregistration up to noon on April 26, and $40 on the day of the event. Registration is open now and can be accessed on the Morgan Hill municipal page, by searching for ‘Youth Tri’.
Those interested can do some poster printing for their favorite athlete and join the competition on April 27. Registration and check-in begin at 8:00 am, and the triathlon will start at 9:00 am. All events will take place at the Morgan Hill Aquatics Center located at 16200 Condit Road in Morgan Hill.
All children are welcome to join the competition. The race is open to residents and non-residents for the same registration fee.
