Morgan Hill will allow the public to travel around the city and meet local artists in early November.
This event will combine a common area, homes, and studios of many crafters, painters, sculptors, and other artists. Attendees will be able to visit the various locations using a map. They will get to view the works, as well as watch a few live demonstrations and chat with the people behind the items on display. The map, featuring the event Logo Design, will be posted online prior to the date. Guests will also be able to buy the pieces that the artists make available to them. As well, the creators of the pieces will be able to share their meanings and the techniques used to make them.
The tour is free to attend. There will be two days of open spaces filled with a wide variety of items to explore. Both days will start at 10:00am and then draw to a close at 4:00pm. In addition to the map, a directory containing information about the artists that will be opening their spaces will be available online.
The event is a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces. It is important for guidelines to be followed to keep everyone safe. Individual artists may have their own rules about attendees entering their space, which those people will need to respect.
This art tour is self guided, allowing guests to choose where they go. It will take place on November 6th and November 7th.
