Morgan Hill to host National Night Out event

National Night Out, an initiative that brings neighbors together to celebrate community safety, will be celebrated in Morgan Hill this year.

The Morgan Hill Police Department will be welcoming locals for a Tuesday evening in August. When held in previous years, the event has tended to draw a crowd of thousands.

The community mixer and resource fair will be held on the lawn of the Civic Center, and there will be fun for all ages. The public can meet police officers, view a variety of first responder vehicles, and connect with other public safety personnel as well. Food trucks have been invited to participate, and there will be activities on offer with kids in mind.

Along with the police and other first responders, the function will be providing space to an assortment of not-for-profit community groups. Many of these will be handing out Promotional Products and other items. Entertainment is also on the agenda, and three different performances have been planned. The kids can also spend some time in the bounce zone.

This meet-and-greet evening for neighbors, first responders and community service groups is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6. The fun will be kicking off at 5:00 pm at 17575 Peak Avenue, and anyone with questions or who would like to get involved is asked to call 408-779-2101.
