Morgan Hill will be holding a festival to honor a species of spider in early October.
Tarantula Fest is a one-day event that showcases the exotic pet. The event will be different to previous years due to the pandemic, but will still bring some fun and a unique experience.
It will be held at Coe Park, in the Coe Ranch. This will allow for some outdoor activities for those interested in exploring. A naturalist will be taking guests on a stroll to look for tarantulas, as well as learning about the environment around them. Geocaching also will take place, incorporating a hike.
Kids will have a table of activities themed around the star attraction, including crafts they will be allowed to take home. A rehabilitation center for animals will also be in attendance, likely offering Promotional Products with information about tarantulas and other animals.
Guests are asked to bring their own lunch due to there being no cooking facilities, although canned drinks and pre-packaged snacks will be available for purchase.
Attendees who need directions to get to the area can look on the park’s website. The parking is $8, or $7 if someone in the vehicle is aged 62 or older.
The festival itself is free, but the regular parking fees are required. Tarantula Fest will be held on October 2, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
