When the sun goes down in Morgan Hill, nature’s nightlife gets active, and an upcoming event will introduce these creatures and why they matter.
Bat Fest will be all about the animals most active at night, and it will introduce the public to the role they play in both the human and natural world. It is being presented thanks to support from Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve in Morgan Hill, and it will be hosted at the site’s meadow.
The attendees at the event will be treated to a chance to meet some live bats, courtesy of Northern California Bats, and the Wildlife Education & Rehabilitation Center will be stopping by with a turkey vulture, owl and opossum. Food trucks will be onsite, and games, local vendors, a not-for-profit display area, and live music will all be part of the fun. Everyone can choose a pumpkin from the mini patch, and a movie screening will take place once the sun goes down.
Community service groups that host awareness events can count on being able to obtain brochure printing and other marketing services from local printers. They will have options on offer for almost any budget level.
The 2022 Bat Fest gathering will be held on Saturday, October 22. The festivities are slated to begin at 4:00 pm.
