The city of Morgan Hill is presenting a free outdoor concert to honor National Hispanic Heritage Month.
National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 to October 15 each year and the city has decided to celebrate it again with a day filled with Latin Music. All community members are welcome to this family-friendly outdoor event. Live music and dance groups will perform throughout the evening.
The colorful traditional costumes of many of the bands and the lively dance routines are perfect for poster printing, so audience members should have their cameras ready. The event will include Son De Kali headlining the concert with a selection of merengue and salsa songs, and much more. The organizers have also invited an array of North and South American dance groups. Expected to attend are groups from Chile, Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, and Venezuela.
The concert runs from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on October 6 and will take place at the Community and Cultural Center Amphitheater at 17000 Monterey Road in Morgan Hill. There is no admission fee and no registration is required, but guests should arrive early in order to get their choice of seating. The amphitheater does not offer any seating, so guests should bring their own blankets and chairs. Snacks are permitted in the outdoor setting, but alcohol is not allowed.
