Tomatoes are a popular crop for the home gardener, and Morgan Hill green thumbs will be able to get a jump start on the season by attending an upcoming show and sale.
Terra Amico Farms will be offering the public an opportunity to purchase tomato plant starts. These will be grown from seed, and these heirloom, organic seedlings will make it easy for local home horticulturalists to hit the ground running. The function is being hosted as part of the larger South County Farm Day
The plant starts will be for sale on a first come, first served basis for as long as supplies last, and at least 30 varieties will be available. Both determinate and indeterminate cultivars will be in the mix, all of which will be certified organic by Real Organic and CCOF Organic.
To help add even more value to the occasion, local artists have been invited to set up shop in the vendor area. Freshly baked goods and kombucha will be available. A brochure printing company will be happy to prepare an assortment of promotional materials for an event.
The 2023 Annual Tomato Plant Starter Sale with its newly added Local Artisan Fair is scheduled for April 8 at 680 California Avenue in San Martin. Anyone who would like to make sure they do not miss out can reserve a spot online.
