A program that offers social opportunities for Morgan Hill residents living with a disability has set the schedule for its Adaptive Dance initiative, and there are dates set for August, October and December.
The city offers a range of programming for its residents and one of these will provide disabled individuals with opportunities to learn, have fun and challenge themselves. A small fee is being charged to participate in its Adaptive Dance events, and the target age group will depend on the activity.
The date set for August will include a BBQ as well as s’mores, music and a scavenger hunt. In October, the theme will be a Halloween Dance Party, and there will be special decor and guests will be welcome. December will celebrate the winter holiday season, and Sensitive Santa will be on hand. Hot chocolate and other treats will be served, and it is open to those age 12 and up.
When a city offers an adaptive program for disabled persons, it ensures everyone will be able to join in the fun and be a community stakeholder. Letterheads for preparing sponsor and gifts in kind requests from the local corporate community can be crafted by a not for profit group by Stationery printers.
The August summer wrap up part is set for August 23rd, and the other dates are October 4th and December 17th. More details, including the locations, can be found on the Morgan Hill website.
