Composting may sound like a complicated proposition, but thanks to a Morgan Hill workshop, it can be a lot simpler.
The activity on offer in early November will explore the art and science of composting from the ground floor up. It will be guided by a Master Composter from the local area, and it will introduce how food scraps and other organic waste can be transformed into a valuable soil amendment.
The attendees at the function will learn how easy it can be to set up an effective home composting system, and the use of worms to do so will be discussed. This is commonly known as vermicomposting, and care for these creepy crawly garden helpers will be addressed as well. The participants will be taught why this practice can make a big impact, and the workshop’s run time is two hours.
Many people would like to become more environmentally friendly, but may not know how to get started. Classes offer them a chance to do so, and Print shops can supply Copies of handouts and any other materials needed for distribution.
