The Pancake Breakfast Toy Drive is a way to have fun and help others this Christmas.
The breakfast event is sponsored by the ‘Breathe for Caley Foundation’, an organization that fulfills wishes for children diagnosed with chronic or fatal illnesses or suffering through a relapse of a previously diagnosed disease. The motto of the group is ‘One wish is not enough’, and they focus on giving second wishes to children who received a granted wish at least five years prior.
The event is a family-friendly breakfast that will include pancakes and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Children will be able to see and talk with the holiday stars throughout the event. All guests should bring a new, unwrapped toy for a donation to the toy drive. The gifts collected will go to children in need throughout the Morgan Hill and Gilroy area.
The event takes place on December 8 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the Applebee’s in Gilroy. The restaurant is at 8200 Arroyo Circle in Gilroy. Tickets are $8 each and can be bought on the Eventbrite website and by emailing info@breatheforcaley.org. Those that would like to donate directly to the organization or give a sponsorship as a corporate gift can do so directly on the organization’s website.
