One of the roles undertaken by the Morgan Hill Library is to serve as a community learning hub, and its Get Ready for Kindergarten workshop series has been planned with its local families in mind.
The series will be led by Dr. Gerardo Lopez, who is an early childhood educator from the local area. It will open in early March, and each of its three instalments will focus on a different skill development area.
The first session will introduce early language development and literacy, while the second will be focused on acquiring math and science skills. The final instalment will explore social wellbeing, as well as emotional and physical health. The classes are scheduled for Saturday afternoons, and they will provide an opportunity for the parents to meet and develop a support network with other parents.
All of the materials needed to take part will be provided. Training manuals, study guides and other learning items that require binding for this type of event can be prepared by a printing services company.
Morgan Hill Library can be found at 660 West Main Avenue. Its Get Ready for Kindergarten class series will begin on Saturday, March 4th. The date for the other two sessions will be March 11th and March 18th. They will take place from 3 pm until 4:30 pm.
