Just prior to the Labor Day weekend, construction of the newer, bigger Burbank Ikea was officially launched.
On September 4, the mayor of Burbank, Bob Frutos, along with members of City Council, community leaders, and other local officials, joined Ikea company representatives for a groundbreaking ceremony at the new store’s location. The 456,000 sq. ft. store will replace the current 242,000 sq. ft. one now in operation.
The existing Burbank Ikea, which opened almost 25 years ago, was only the sixth Ikea in the U.S. and the first in California. It will remain open while the new store is being built less than a mile away. The future Ikea in Burbank, which is scheduled to open in the spring, will contain a much larger selection than its predecessor.
To promote the new store’s many new family-friendly features, such as a product picking and delivery service, preferred parking, and baby care rooms, the services of a Print company could be instrumental. In addition to providing flyer, letterhead and business card printing services, a Stationery printer can also provide promotional advice customized for the area.
Other features of interest in the new store are a trio of model home interiors and 50 room-settings to inspire customers to explore new decorating frontiers. The new location will also feature a convenient 1,700-space parking lot, a supervised children’s play space, and an expanded restaurant (offering seating for 600) that serves Swedish specialties.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Print
