Burbank has always been known for its contributions to the silver screen, and one of the most well-known film festivals will soon be returning with a great deal of fanfare.
The 2026 Burbank International Film Festival is an annual event intended to showcase the most influential short films. The main intention is to provide up-and-coming artists with a means to connect with the public, and to showcase their talents to an appreciative audience.
Similar to previous years, a few different genres will be covered. These include comedy, science fiction, drama, documentary, horror, and animation. More than 50 films have already been confirmed. Such a Pretty Girl, Thorns & Roses, Three Brothers in Shanghai, Timmy Grows Up, When Memory Turns Into Sound, and You Are Not Alone are some titles that attendees can view. Awards will thereafter be presented for the best short film associated with a specific category.

The 2026 Burbank International Film Festival is being held from Saturday, August 2nd to Friday, August 8th. All screenings are taking place at the AMC 16 Theatre located at 125 East Palm Avenue. Tickets cost $22.50 per film, although these prices may be subject to change.
