Event to crown Burbank areas top tortilla chef

An event that will give local chefs a chance to put their tortilla recipe to the test will soon be whetting the appetites of Burbank foodies.

Dubbed “The KCRW & Gustavo’s Great Tortilla Tournament”, the celebration will be held in just after a week’s time, and it is open to all.

The judges in the competition will be sampling some of the area’s top tortillas, and they will then narrow the competitors down to their top four favorites. The winner will walk away with both the grand prize and bragging rights, and the public is welcome to get in on the fun as well.

The family-friendly celebration will include lots of tortilla tastings as well as music and other entertainment. There will be a wide selection of Mexican-inspired cuisine available for purchase, and a bar area, and tortilla art will be on offer as well. The younger guests can enjoy spending time in the area set aside for them.

Presenting the winner in a competition like this with a certificate recognizing their achievement, which they can display in their own establishment, can acknowledge their culinary talents.
