Earthquake readiness event planned for Burbank

Earthquakes can be a fact of life for California, and during an upcoming Burbank area event, businesses will learn what they can do to recover as quickly as possible should one occur.

As part of the hour long Rapid Recovery seminar, participants will learn what steps that can take to help get themselves, their employees, suppliers and also their properties up and running after an earthquake. According to the organizers, it can be especially important for companies that need to be able be ready to assist in response and recovery efforts. Booklet printing can be used by those who plan an event such as this to provide informational handouts and other materials to those who take part.

The guest speakers for the morning’s session will be Ines Pearce, who is the Senior Disaster Advisor for the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation and also the Chair of the Disaster Resistant Business Workgroup and also former Chief Scientist of the USGS Earthquake Science Center Mary Lou Zoback. It’s geared towards business owners, mangers, financial officers and those who engage in risk management.

The information session will be held in the Hollywood Community Center, which can be found at 6501 Fountain Ave, on February 14th from 8:00 am until 9:00 am. There is no charge to attend, and additional information can be found on the event’s website.
