The second annual ‘Back to School’ fashion show took place on Friday, August 8 at the Burbank Town Center. This year’s show featured new trends in school clothes, as well as fall fashions as a whole. In addition, styles from decades past were included.
Clothes were provided by local retail stores. Old Navy and Charlotte Russe fashions focused on denim; particularly skinny jeans paired with sweaters. Hot Topic, on the other hand, went for a punk rock look with plaids and leather combined with T-Shirts featuring superheroes and graphics.
In addition to the new fashions, Sidecca, a vintage retail shop, provided clothes from decades past, including embroidered sweaters and tea dresses. Claire’s and Icing provided accessories to match the various outfits. Macy’s cosmetic line, Impulse, supplied make-up for the show.
Grade-school children, middle and high school-age students, and those attending college participated, with a total of 23 models taking to the catwalk. Each student was able to strut down the runway to musical selections chosen to complement each fashion’s style or time period, courtesy of RCL Entertainment.
Burbank Town Center special events coordinator, Linda Maxwell, pointed out that although the models were nonprofessionals, every aspect of the fashion shop was professionally done. One way any event can appear more professional is by utilizing a banner printing service to catch the eye.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
