Burbank residents invited to ring in 2017 in the great outdoors

Burbank’s Slough Canyon Nature Center will be hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration that offers fun for the young and old alike.

The facility will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party and hike. There will be plenty to see and do, including games and crafts, interactive activities, and appetizers and other refreshments. The night will be capped off with a hike up to the View, where guests will be able to ring in 2017 with friends old and new.

The festivities are suitable for those ages five and up, and anyone who would like to participate is required to preregister ahead of time. As part of the event will be a hike, those who plan on coming out are advised to wear suitable footwear. Newsletter printing can be used by community organizations to let the public know about events such as this that are happening in the local area.

The New Year’s Eve Party and Hike will be held in the Slough Canyon Nature Center Classroom starting at 8:30 pm on December 31. Tickets are $10 each, and anyone who is interested in taking part is asked to sign up to do so before December 29, so that the organizers will have an idea of how many to expect.

More details, and an opportunity to register, can be found on the Burbank Parks website.
