Burbank plans fundraising pop-up shopping party

Burbank cats will benefit from an initiative that will add a touch of excitement to a lazy spring Sunday afternoon.

The planners of the Catnip Leaf Crawl will be setting up their family-friendly celebration in the uMe Credit Union parking lot located at 3000 W Magnolia Boulevard, as well as at 3400 W Magnolia Boulevard. Additional vendors are welcome, and the monies raised will be donated to area cat rescue and fostering agencies.

People can enjoy music spun by a DJ, and there will also be food trucks on hand to keep the crowd fed. Cat-themed carnival-style games are in the works, and the flea market area will boast at least 60 vintage vendors from the local area. Artisan-style snacks and other food will be available for purchase, and the kids can meet and have their picture taken with the Felix the Cat costumed character.

Pop-up festivals go a long way towards raising funds and awareness for a cause. A banner printing company can prepare retractable Banners and other marketing materials, and if they are reusable, they may help a budget stretch.

The next Catnip Flea Crawl will be helping felines in need on Sunday, April 20. The festivities will kick off at 10:00 am. Anyone with questions or who would like to learn more about the vendor opportunities it presents can contact 818-562-7333.
