For one weekend in October, a Burbank hotel will be hosting a convention that celebrates the horror and sci-fi film and TV genres, and it promises to be fun for those who take part.
Dubbed “Son of Monsterpalooza”, the activity will be on offer at the Marriott Burbank Hotel and Convention Center. It will bring together actors, make-up artists, and special effects artists, as well as their fans, together for a three-day weekend.
The plans for the occasion will see at least 150 different vendors setting up shop on site, and they will have memorabilia and other merchandise on offer. Live makeup demos will take place so that the attendees can see how the magic happens, and everyone can view the two special exhibits that are in the works. A line-up of celebrity guests has been booked for meet and greets, and autograph sessions and panels will round out the experience.
Many conventions, expos and other large events see swag offered to the ticket holders. These Promotional Products will be available for ordering from area printers, which can include a custom graphic design on each item.
This celebration of life’s creepy side will be running from Friday, October 14 until Sunday, October 16. It is being produced by Monsterpalooza, Inc, and registration can be arranged through Eventbrite.
