Burbank City leaders celebrate a late Armenian Christmas

Many Burbank public servants and School Board and Burbank City Council candidates recently attended the annual Armenian Christmas reception hosted by the Armenian National Committee of America, Burbank (ANCA-B)

The opportunity to indulge in food, enjoy a festive atmosphere and network was sufficient to ensure a good turnout to the Burbank Youth Center on January 12. Elected officials from all levels and areas of city government were in attendance, as well as city staff. The annual event, which has been hosted for numerous years by the ANCA-B, permits the Armenian community to discuss important issues with city government officials in an informal and congenial setting.

Attendees began the evening mingling while partaking of the sumptuous food provided by the Alta Dena Bakery. Guests were welcomed by ANCA-Burbank co-chair Gaidzag Shahbazian and ANCA reception committee member Houri Tavitian.

They thanked those who have supported and recognized the involvement of the Armenian-American community and who have empowered not just the Armenian community, but all Burbank residents.

The ANCA-B Christmas reception allows leaders in the Armenian community to put a face to the names of city officials that can help them in their mission to advance the social, economic, and cultural interests of the Burbank Armenian American community.

Unraveling the various roles played by city officials and departments can be challenging, and can be made easier with the help of brochure printers.
