Many people think of pigeons as common city birds, but an event is on the way to the Burbank area that will show how they can be so much more.
The Curio Club of LA has made plans to host an event that will introduce the public to fancy pigeons, and they will have the chance to get up close to these feathered friends. It will be led by a specialist in pigeon behavior with over 50 years of experience in working with them.
Also known as rock doves, pigeons have been used for centuries as messengers, for food and to provide companionship, and over the years, they have saved thousands of lives. The attendees at the event will learn about various breeds and their characteristics, and a walk through the venue, which is home to more than 500 birds, is included. The activity is intended for those age eight and up, and comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
Learning about nature is something many people really value, and a workshop or other activity provides the chance to do it. A flyer printing company can offer a variety of cost-effective ways of getting the word out about an upcoming event.
This chance to learn more about the humble pigeon and what makes it special will be on offer on Thursday, June 27. The Los Angeles address for the function will be provided to registrants closer to its scheduled date.
