Warrington to get a new Cineworld
It has been confirmed that Cineworld has agreed a deal with Warrington Council and Muse Developments to launch one of its cinemas within the town centre.
This will form part of the regeneration project in the Bridge Street Quarter, with Cineworld set to be central to the Bridge Street development, which will be leisure and retail-led.
The completed multiplex venue will offer residents a choice of 13 screens, and will have 2,500 seats, with jobs also likely to be created once it is ready to open.
Alongside this cinema, set to measure 45,000 sq. ft., the finished development will contain a number of restaurants for family dining, shops, offices for the local council, a multi-storey car park and a market hall, among other facilities.
Warrington Council leader, Cllr Terry O’Neill, told Place North West:
When it opens, Cineworld will be able to use places that provide flyer printing in Warrington if it wants to make sure that local people know all about the new cinema.
Leach Rhodes Walker, a firm of architects based in Manchester, will design it and it is expected to open in 2019.
