Volunteers needed at Stockton Heath festival
Volunteers are being asked to step forward to help out at village festival in Stockton Heath.
Stockton Heath festival has been running since 2008 and now, in its sixth year, it aims to be bigger and better than ever. In order to grow and to run smoothly, the festival needs the help of volunteers to carry out a wide range of tasks; such as stewarding and advertising.
Festivals and fetes generally rely on the support of the public for their success. Festival organisers often produce promotional flyers and posters by working with local printing companies. In the past, Stockton Heath festival has used this type of promotional activity to attract visitors from across the North West by advertising the acts and other attractions on offer as part of the weekend.
Warrington and Stockton Heath residents will be able to enjoy four days of activities when the festival kicks off in June. The event is set to run from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd June 2013 and will feature live music, comedy acts, entertainment and locally-run stalls.
The co-director of Stockton Heath festival, Deborah Cook, recently spoke about the volunteering opportunities on offer, saying:
Anyone wishing to volunteer for the festival may do so by signing up via the Stockton Heath festival website.

"You may be helping with things such as our lottery, sorting the provision of services and acts at the festival site, selling tickets or taking minutes at a meeting. Many people have experiences and skills that would be very useful to us.”
