The manufacturer has provided the establishment’s workshop for motor vehicle training with ten gearboxes, offering students taking this course the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Among other things, the donation will assist these students in learning about the successful diagnosis and repair of faults in the gearboxes, as well as how to put them back together in working order.
Workshop lecturer Chris Johnson stated that the gearboxes would enable Warrington Collegiate to provide training for its vehicle technician students using state of the art car technology, and added that this was not the first time Vauxhall had provided them with car parts – support that they greatly appreciated.
One of the students on the course, Jayson Biddle, told the Warrington Guardian:
“This is really great. There’s no substitute for the real thing. The garage here at the college is really well equipped and I’m looking forward to working on the new gear Boxes.”
