Charity grotto coming to Warrington
A Father Christmas is on his way to central Warrington in order to help raise money for a local charity.
The Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) should gain much needed funds from the initiative. The plan is that a grotto will be held on several dates before Christmas Day.
On the first day of the scheme, Father Christmas will come to an information point of the WDP after passing along Buttermarket Street to the Skittles in the middle of town, near the back of Warrington Market where the information hub is located.
If the WDP wants to raise the profile of the annual grotto, the organisation could use banner printing in Warrington. The grotto is going to take place in November and December this year.
It costs less than £5 to enter the grotto and a young visitor can get a small present in return for the money donated. There is going to be a raffle as well, the draw for which has been scheduled for December 20th. Tickets for the draw can be purchased at a variety of locations.
Dave Thompson, event co-ordinator and founder of the WDP, has told the Warrington Guardian:

“We are very excited that Santa is coming to town and we are looking forward to making him feel right at home at the Grotto in Warrington Market.”
