Tamworth to see 1970s sensation

A Tamworth venue is set to host a single-night performance from a celebrated band that scored high in the 70s music charts.

Blending disco, pop and soul, Hot Chocolate will be taking to the stage in Tamworth for one night only this spring. Venues hosting special performances often highlight occasions by using professional poster printing services to create large-scale advertisements.

The band rose to fame in the 70s disco scene and, in a feat shared only with Diana Ross and Elvis Presley, Hot Chocolate had a chart hit in the UK every year during that decade. The band became renowned for their harmonies and skilful song writing, which led them to greater rewards in the 1980s with hits such as “Every 1's a Winner” and “You Sexy Thing”.

Over the years, the band have enjoyed numerous accolades and played at prestigious events, performing at the premier of James Cameron’s “Titanic” and for Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Those turning up at the Tamworth gig will get a chance to hear a range of Hot Chocolate classics, which may include “No Doubt About It”, “Brother Louie”, “Girl Crazy” and their big British hit “It Started with a Kiss”.

Hot Chocolate will now play at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Corporation Street on Sunday, May 29. Tickets for the event are priced at £34.50 per person.
