After a comprehensive council review, dozens of sites currently occupied by garages in Tamworth will now be cleared, sold or repurposed to make room for residential and parking developments.
Tamworth Borough Council has informed local communities that it has reviewed the standalone garage blocks in council housing areas and is now assembling Plans that include potential future uses. Local authorities and enterprises can sometimes use professional Graphic Design Services to create branded notices for local community members and customers.
A report from a recent meeting of the borough council commented:
“The garage blocks around Tamworth are in varying states of repair and disrepair, most need some investment to bring them up to a standard where they will remain fit for let into the future.”
Not all of the garage blocks around Tamworth will see a change of use, however. Some of the buildings will be renovated and will continue to serve local residents, with a £1.5 million investment earmarked for the sites retained. The council is also considering the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charge points as part of its refurbishment Plans for the sites.
Other garage sites that are deemed beyond economical repair will be entirely demolished, making space for additional parking, while others may be converted into homes and business premises.
