A popular live music venue based in Tamworth is set to host a show dedicated to the dance music of days gone by.
An upcoming show entitled “Soul Train” will be steaming into Tamworth in March and taking to the stage at the Assembly Rooms. The single-night show will feature a diverse range of talented artists and celebrate the classic dance music of the 1960s and 70s.
Local venues promoting single-night shows dedicated to a specific music genre will often enlist expert flyer printing services to create themed leaflets they can hand out to members of the public and encourage participation.
Featuring a feast of talented performers, Soul Train boasts music from the early origins of soul at Atlantic, Stax and Tamla Records and through to the days of disco. Those coming down to enjoy the single-night show can expect to hear classic tracks from much-loved artists like Ike & Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Aretha Franklin, Billy Ocean, Donna Summer, the Isley Brothers, the O'Jays, the Supremes and many more.
The Soul Train show will now be live on stage at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Friday, March 17. The venue can be found on Corporation Street in Tamworth and the performance will run from 7.30 pm until 10 pm.
