UK rock icon to play Stoke-on-Trent

A Stoke-on-Trent venue is set to extend a warm welcome to a renowned rock artist and his new musical ensemble this autumn.

Former Led Zeppelin frontman and rock legend Robert Plant will be performing live in Stoke-on-Trent this November as "Saving Grace". A musical cooperative, the group also features Suzi Dian on vocals, Tony Kelsey on mandolin and acoustic guitar, Oli Jefferson on percussion and Matt Worley on banjo, baritone guitars and cuatro.

The band will be playing Stoke-on-Trent’s Victoria Hall as part of a full UK tour, presenting their critically acclaimed show for Staffordshire's audiences. The band, formed in 2019, will perform considered interpretations of other musician’s compositions such as “Season of the Witch”, “White Rabbit” and “Light my Fire”, whilst retaining their original essence with works of their own, such as “As I Roved Out".

The tour will also feature multi-talented artist Taylor McCall as a special guest. Hailing from South Carolina in the US, the singer-songwriter and guitarist is entirely self-taught, and started playing the instrument after discovering his grandfather’s guitar under a bed when he was just seven years old. Those attending can hear him play tracks which might include “Jericho Rose” and “Quartermaster”.

Robert Plant’s Saving Grace is set to be on stage at Victoria Hall on Bagnall Street in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on the 23rd November. The concert will start at 7pm, and end at 11pm.
