A country park based in Stoke-on-Trent is presenting a famous romantic tragedy written by William Shakespeare this summer.
Theatre devotees in the area will get a chance to see Romeo & Juliet performed live on stage this August. The production will be visiting the Staffordshire location and will be presented by the acclaimed Duke’s Theatre Company.
Dramatic associations and theatrical troupes sometimes collaborate with brochure printing services to create informational adverts for the productions they put on that include colour images of actors in costumes and sets.
The classic love story is reimagined by director Joseph Pitcher, whose credentials include Gypsy, which won the Best Musical Production UK Theatre Award, and successful plays like My Fair Lady and Macbeth. The new production has original music composed by Rob Millett, whose work has featured at The Royal Opera House, Shakespeare’s Globe and The National Theatre.
Romeo & Juliet will take centre stage at the Trentham Estate on Monday, August 31. The estate is on Stone Road in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent and tickets are available to book priced between £16.26 and £21.68. Those buying tickets are advised that Romeo & Juliet contains some mature themes and that the performance is recommended for theatregoers aged seven and over.
The venue will open 45 minutes before the show starts and the play has a running time of two hours, which includes a 15-minute interval for refreshments.
