Street artists to open up creative hub store

A trio of street artists from Stoke on Trent are looking to bring a touch of colour to the city by opening up a store designed to promote fashion and creativity.

Their Plans do not stop there, as they also hope to set up a group of graffiti murals across the town, whereby other street artists and creative souls can contribute their work and legally display their skills and talents.

The current venture will be established in a vacant retail unit in the Cultural Quarter of Hanley. The plan is to open up a ‘street wear’ store that will function as a gallery featuring rolling shows and workshops. This project will make use of poster printing, and could be the second success of the trio, who had previously created a ‘Hall of Fame’ mural of legal graffiti along a passage below the city’s A500 road.

The three artists are friends who attended Staffordshire University and, for the last three months, they have been working with wholesalers and distributors to help get this project up and running on the right foot. The venture is known as ‘Entrepreneurs’ and the shop will stock a variety of products, including graffiti paint, art supplies and urban clothing.

The launch of the Entrepreneurs venture will be taking place on 29th August off Piccadilly, and will include a photography exhibition, live screen painting and a number of DJ sets.
