A tribute recognising the world’s iconic entertainers is coming to Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent next year.
Entitled “Showtime”, this glittering extravaganza invites attendees to step back through time to experience a wide selection of entertainment greats. The show stars Strictly Come Dancing legends Anton & Erin. Professional partners since 1997, the pair has been described as the modern equivalent of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, who incidentally are two of the icons celebrated in this evening event.
Other dance displays will honour a long line of Hollywood greats like Charlie Chaplin, Lisa Minelli, and Judy Garland, before taking inspiration from Welsh legends Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones, and classic crooners like Frank Sinatra. Boasting a full 23-piece orchestra and West End-style dance ensemble, the show features live singing and an array of carefully crafted costumes. Anton & Erin have performed multiple times to critical acclaim at the BBC’s “Proms in the Park” event and have also taken the stage at both the Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
Anton & Erin’s Showtime will take place at the Regent Theatre, in Piccadilly, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The show will begin at 7:30 pm on February 23, 2021 and tickets for the event are priced from £13 per person.
