Stoke-on-Trent is set to host a band renowned for its blend of reggae and pop.
Birmingham legends UB40 will play a popular music venue in Stoke-on-Trent. From bars and clubs to stadiums and arenas, music venues of all sizes can depend on professional poster printing services to advertise their upcoming concerts to members of the public to encourage attendance.
Receiving nominations for the Best Reggae Album Grammy Award four times, the group was also nominated for the coveted Best British Group Brit Award in 1984. With more than 70 million records sold worldwide, the band’s ever-changing line up has been exceptionally diverse over the years, with members from different ethnicities including Irish, Welsh, English, Scottish, Yemeni, and Jamaican.
Musicians and singers who have been part of the band include Ali Campbell, Duncan Campbell, Mickey Virtue, Earl Falconer, Matt Doyle, and Astro.
Those attending the winter gig in Stoke-on-Trent will have the chance to hear a wide range of well-known UB40 classics like “Please Don’t Make Me Cry”, “Red, Red Wine”, “Cherry Oh Baby”, “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” and “Kingston Town.”
UB40 will now play Stoke-on-Trent’s Victoria Hall on Bagnall Street in Hanley on Monday, December 20. The concert will begin at 8:00 pm and run until 11:00 pm. Tickets for the event are priced at £29 per person.
