Stoke-on-Trent to welcome Scottish pop rockers

A well-known pop rock band from Scotland will play Stoke-on-Trent in the new year.

The celebrated Scottish band Texas is set to make a stop at a popular Stoke venue as they tour the UK in 2022, playing new material for their fans. Venues of all sizes from city stadiums to clubs and bars often use flyer printing services to create branded and bespoke leaflets to advertise upcoming events.

Along with showcasing new tracks from their 2021 album Hi, Texas will likely play a range of audience favourites that may include Black Eyed Boy, Inner Smile, In Our Lifetime and the chart-topping I Don’t Want A Lover. among others.

The new album features 14 tracks and has been fuelled by a recent collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan that received critical acclaim. The 2021 release was inspired by a discovery of forgotten material for the band’s best-selling album, White on Blonde. Instead of simply releasing the outtakes, bassist Johnny McElhone and singer Sharleen Spiteri were inspired to create all-new material instead.

Spiteri, commented:

"Our excitement at finding this treasure trove of songs collided with our excitement back then and, unplanned, new songs started coming. You could say we were inspired by ourselves!"

Texas will play Victoria Hall on Bagnall Street in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday, March 20 between 7 pm and 11.55 pm.
