A revived rock band who made its name in the noughties will be performing live in Stoke-on-Trent next year.
Fans of English rock in Stoke-on-Trent can see modern-day punks The Libertines on stage in January. The band led by founders Pete Doherty and Carl Barat will be appearing at The Underground in Hanley for a single-night show, with a set-list packed with new songs and classic tracks.

The Libertines took the late 90s and early 2000s by storm, and secured themselves as a household name, hitting headlines with wild behaviour and musical success. During the noughties, the band was ubiquitous on TV and radio, as well as in night clubs and popular music press like NME and Melody Maker. They accrued a loyal fanbase, but broke up after recording just two albums. Fortunately for their fans, they reformed in 2010, and continue to tour today.
2022 saw The Libertines take to the stage at Glastonbury, opening the festival to wild applause. In October this year, they released a single for the first time in eight years, and announced a new album coming in March 2024 called “All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade”.
The Libertines will be at The Underground on Wednesday, February 14. The venue is based at 2 Morley Street in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
