Stoke-on-Trent to host UK comedian

An English comedian will be bringing his latest show to Stoke-on-Trent this summer.

People who enjoy stand-up comedy in Stoke-on-Trent are in for a treat later this year. English comic Ed Gamble will be performing his brand-new material at a venue in Hanley, in a show entitled “Hot Diggity Dog”.

Gamble has promised his new show will feature all the “raving, ranting and spluttering” that his fans have grown to love. Well-known as the co-host of “Off Menu”, the award-winning podcast he performs with fellow comedian James Acaster, Gamble has always had a passion for eating.

In October last year, he published his first book, entitled “Glutton: The Multi-Course Life of a Very Greedy Boy”. The debut is an autobiography that focuses on his continuing obsession with food. As a diabetic, Gamble’s condition often finds its way into his material, notably his Amazon Prime comedy special called “Blood Sugar”.

He has also appeared on BBC shows like “Mock The Week” and “Live At The Apollo”.

Ed Gamble’s “Hot Diggity Dog” show will be on stage at Victoria Hall on Thursday, June 6. The venue is sited on Bagnall Street in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

The show includes an interval and is an hour and 55 minutes long. Tickets are priced from £29.64 plus a transaction fee.
