Stoke on Trent to host theme park book launch

A special event to launch a book about Alton towers will take place in Stoke on Trent.

The writer’s retreat known as Liminal Residency was awarded a grant in April 2019 from Arts Council England. With this funding it arranged for seven writers to stay in the popular Staffordshire theme park, Alton Towers for a period of 72 hours.

The collected impressions, stories and photographs of the seven writers has now been bound together in a book which will be the third volume released by the Liminal Residency. To celebrate this occasion, a multimedia event will be held by the Residency. There will be live readings and a short history of Alton Towers as well as an interactive tour.

Those involved in promoting events around their county can take advantage of poster printing services to create colourful advertisements to display in public hubs like libraries, schools and community centres.

The evening event will be held at the North Staffordshire Hotel on Station Road. Wine will be provided to those attending and additional drinks can be bought from the bar.

A chance to meet and chat with the writers will be available after the readings as well as the option to pick up a signed copy of the new book.

The book launch held on October 5th will start promptly at 6:30pm and end at 10pm.
