Stoke-on-Trent to hear soul sensation
A premier show paying tribute to one of the world’s most renowned R&B and soul singer songwriters is coming to a Stoke-on-Trent venue in autumn.
Stoke-on-Trent citizens with a love of American soul and rhythm and blues won’t want to miss a unique opportunity this September. Respected events venue Victoria Hall has confirmed it will host a tribute to Luther Vandross that is described as the best show in the world of its kind. Concert halls, theatres and other venues often reach out to expert banner printing services for branded signage that matches the décor of their interiors.
Simply titled “Luther Live”, the production features international singer Harry Cambridge performing an authentic rendition of the man known to many as “The Velvet Voice”.
While Vandross sadly passed away in 2005, his extensive career saw him enjoy widespread popularity and critical recognition. During his tenure as a soul and R&B icon he sold more than 40 million records, achieved 11 consecutive platinum albums and won eight Grammy Awards.
The upcoming show will see Cambridge supported by a 10-piece band playing Vandross’s much-loved music. Songs on the night will include “Never Too Much”, “Give Me the Reason”, “Here and Now”,” So Amazing”, and the 2004 Song of The Year, “Dance with My Father”, among many others.
Luther Live will now be performed live at Victoria Hall on Friday, September 12. The venue is situated on Bagnall Street in Stoke-on-Trent.
