The film industry can be useful for place marketing, partly because of its association with poster printing and other Promotional Products. Terry Follows, a councillor with responsibility for leisure, told the Stoke Sentinel:
"Stoke-on-Trent has again been chosen as a major movie destination, and our film office is able to offer a range of support to large-scale productions. It shows our seriousness in supporting art and culture in our city, and gives further credence to our bid to become the UK's City of Culture in 2021.”
It is possible that more films will be set within Stoke-on-Trent in the future. Mr Ashley Morris, an academic at Staffordshire University, said that the city was appropriate for movies of a certain genre. He added that this was positive for the place in promotional terms.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
