Skate park within Stoke-on-Trent opens

An all-weather skate park in Stoke-on-Trent has recently opened.

Unit 1 Park Works, the new skate park inside Stoke-on-Trent, is indoors and it will be used by people who enjoy rollerblading and skateboarding. Riders of BMX bikes will also be able to have a go.

The conversion of an old warehouse enabled the creation of the facility, and a donation of £40,000 helped those involved in the project. Marketing services in Stoke-on-Trent might be used to promote the park, which is located at Ogden Road. Simon Toft, who has worked at the establishment of the amenity, told the Stoke Sentinel:

"This is somewhere that people can come in all weathers. Central Forest Park has been great but this is something that the city has needed for a long time."

It has taken about a year and a half to make the vision into a reality. It has been reported that there had been a previous plan to have a skate park on the same site. Six individuals will run the park going forward, including Ashley Kosciekowski, who revealed that he had hoped to create something like the facility for a long time.

The already existing Central Forest Park has been useful for some people, but Kosciekowski has expressed concern about its safety levels and the fact that it cannot be used in rainy weather.
