Menzies Distribution is the company behind the new travel brochure delivery service, which will deliver 125,000 holiday and travel brochures each week to 650 travel agents in and around Hull, Stoke-on-Trent, Liverpool and Cumbria.
Phil Lloyd, the central support manager for Menzies Distribution, spoke about the new initiative, saying:
“Our usual distribution of newspapers and magazines see our vans travel the same route seven days a week in the very early mornings. The delivery routes we are using to reach our travel agents are more changeable, and take place three days a week at a later time. We are really pleased that we have been able to adapt to these changes so quickly and successfully.”
The new delivery schedule has also created six new jobs at Menzies Distribution and following a successful trial period early in 2013, it is now being fully rolled out across the north of England.
