Long-running groups swansong tour to stop in Stoke

A beloved British band will be stopping by Stoke-on-Trent on what they have said will be their final extensive tour of the UK.

Among the country’s most influential and exiting music groups, The Stranglers have impressed audiences and album buyers alike since they formed more than 45 years ago, having originally been part of Britain’s punk rock scene. Although set to retire from major touring, the band's final series of gigs across Britain will now include Stoke-on-Trent, with a date announced for early next year.

Tour organisers often rely on professional printing services to produce bespoke and branded promotional materials that reflect the public image of the bands they represent.

Fans of the band will have their last opportunity to hear classic tracks from the Stranglers performed live on stage like “Always the Sun”, “Strange Little Girl”, “Skin Deep”, and the famous tracks “Peaches” and “Golden Brown”.

Dave Thompson, an esteemed music critic, once commented on the Stranglers:

“…the group was responsible for music that may have been ugly and might have been crude – but it was never, ever boring."

The band recently created a brand new album, Dark Matters, which they recorded with the late keyboard player David Greenfield, who passed away last year. The Stranglers opted not to cancel their tour and to honour their former band mate instead.

The Stranglers will now be on stage next year at the Victoria Hall on Bagnall Street, Hanley in Stoke-on-Trent on Monday, January 31.
