A leaflet has been produced by the local council in Stone in order to gauge the reaction of the public to proposed changes to a local leisure centre.
Westbridge Park in Stone is the latest place in the Staffordshire region to have its leisure facilities revamped and redeveloped by the council. Staffordshire Borough Council is working with local residents to obtain their views on what the future of leisure spaces in Stone should look like and are doing so with the help of a leaflet which was created using flyer printing.
Along with Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Staffordshire area, Stone is already home to a number of leisure centres and sports grounds which are frequently used by residents. However, new facilities are always in demand and the council is hoping to create a new leisure centre in Westbridge Park. The recent leaflet produced by the council asks the residents of Stone what they would like to see from their leisure centre. Current proposals suggest that there will be a 25 metre-long swimming pool, modern sports facilities and places for children and teenagers to play.
The consultation leaflet has been sent to homes throughout Stone and is also available from local libraries and council buildings. In addition to the leaflets, there are also a number of consultation sessions being held where Stone residents can air their views on the proposed changes. Times and venues for the consultation meetings can be found on the council’s website.
