This race will begin at Greater Manchester and it will take the competitors a total of eight days to reach the finishing line in South Wales. Many of the world’s best cyclists will be entering it this year, including the Jumbo–Visma team that is made up of former Tour de France winners.
Stockport will be a key part of the route, with the racers due to hit town at around 11.30 am on the day. Their journey will take them down Jacksons Lane and Hazel Grove, before they depart Stockport for Tameside via Marple.
The team that most British fans will be supporting is the INEOS Grenadiers and many people in the town are likely to turn out to cheer them on. Banner printing outlets in Stockport can help with that, by providing them with Banners that have the name of their team on them.
Frankie Singleton from the local council was quoted on its official website saying:
“Residents can watch all the action and soak up the atmosphere by the roadside for free.”
The Tour of Britain cyclists are scheduled to make their way through Stockport on 3rd September.Get a Free Quote for Banners
