Stockport to enjoy classic British rock

A UK rock band renowned for its classic ‘70’s sound will perform live at a village in Stockport this autumn.

Romiley in Stockport is set to extend a warm welcome to British rockers Cats in Space. The six-piece band will perform a live set at the village’s Forum Theatre, showing the skills that saw them tour with music legends like Phil Collins, Status Quo, Blondie, Deep Purple and Thunder.

Featuring Steevi Bacon, Andy Stewart, Jeff Brown, Dean Howard, Greg Hart and Damien Edwards, the band has performed at major venues in the UK capital like Hyde Park, the London Palladium, the O2 Arena and the Hammersmith Odeon. Theatres, clubs and other venues often hand out promotional Pens and other affordable items to the public bearing their name and logo to help raise their profile.

Rock fans attending the upcoming show in Stockport will be treated to tracks from the latest studio recording from Cats in Space called “Kickstart the Sun” along with songs from their other four albums. The band’s sound has been likened to classic rock bands from the 1970s like Cheap Trick, Queen, ELO, 10cc and The Who.

Cats in Space will now be live at The Forum Theatre on Thursday, October 10. The theatre is situated at The Precinct on Compstall Road in Romiley, Stockport, and the concert has a 7 pm start time.
